There are SO many things happening behind the scenes that you as a customer may not realize—and that we want you to know about! Since your family is so important to us, we have implemented the following things into our trust and safety program:

Background Checks:

We want the best possible rental experience for every single one of our customers and we understand that the positive interactions you have with your Quality Provider are vital. To help you feel safe and secure throughout your entire rental experience, we require that all QPs go through a thorough vetting process and pass mandatory background checks before being considered as new QPs, or allowed to rent baby gear on our platform. 

Liability Insurance:

In the rare event that someone gets hurt, or their property is damaged during a covered rental, you may be protected with up to $1,000,000 USD in liability insurance. Insurance is an important differentiator between BabyQuip and other baby gear rental companies and is provided on all our rentals.

Ongoing Training:

800+ Quality Providers who are amazing moms, dads, grandparents and best friend teams from all over the US, Canada and beyond, list equipment for rent on our website. We empower QPs with extensive knowledge through continuing education and ongoing training regarding customer service, cleaning procedures, and safety standards. They are also regularly monitored to make sure they uphold our brand standards with all deliveries. 

Cleaning Procedures:

Since providing clean baby gear is essential to keeping everyone safe and healthy, rental items are inspected and meticulously deep cleaned by Quality Providers after every pickup and then inspected and cleaned again before the next delivery. QPs use non-toxic, parent approved cleaners to keep your baby safe.

Safety Standards:

Baby equipment and products can be recalled at any time for a number of reasons. QPs are trained baby gear experts, so they are always aware of what’s on the most recent recall list.

Proprietary Software

To take baby gear safety one step further, our proprietary software is able to monitor products listed on our site (that are deemed unsafe in some way) and remove them. This includes recalled items and expired car seats. Our secure platform also safeguards your money (and tips!), and makes sure it gets to your Quality Provider in a safe and timely manner.

While there is a lot of action happening behind the scenes, there is also much in plain sight…on our site, that adds to and enhances our trust and safety program.

QP Profiles

Quality Providers are independent contractors running their own businesses. Every QP has a custom web page and profile to help customers get to know a little bit about them, exactly where they deliver and everything they have listed for rent. You can also see their number of successful deliveries and all their reviews. QPs provide traveling families with a safe, clean, informed and positive baby gear rental experience.

Reservation Protection

When you make a reservation with BabyQuip, you’ll be asked to provide us with your full name, email, phone number, optional information about your child(ren), delivery and pickup times, and payment information. All of this information helps your Quality Provider customize your experience and coordinate delivery and pick up. Your personal information is never sold or distributed in any manner. 

While it doesn’t happen often, if a QP needs to cancel at the last minute, we’ll do our very best to help you find a new provider who can meet your needs.

Customer Service:

While your QP is always your best contact, we are here to help you throughout your rental experience if you are unable to reach them. They typically respond to inquiries within 24 hours. We also have a convenient chat feature enabled on our website along with email, phone and text options. Safety Standards:

Wait…didn’t we already touch on safety standards?! Yes, but there are customer facing safety standards that we want you to be aware of as well! QPs know how to properly use all of the gear they rent, so if you are unsure of how to set up a high chair, fold down a stroller or turn on a Snoo, text your provider and they’ll be happy to provide you with manufacturer instructions or help you over chat or a video call. (Please keep in mind that for liability reasons we cannot install car seats for a customer for any reason.)

And if you aren’t sure exactly what item you need for your baby, your Quality Provider can make recommendations on what’s best, as we get numerous questions about which car seat is right for a baby’s age, height and weight or what sleep solution is right for your trip.
