Launched as Babierge in May 2016, the company changed its name to BabyQuip in July 2018.
BabyQuip is lead by Fran Maier, co-founder and first General Manager of Match.com, and Founder of TrustArc (formerly TRUSTe)
BabyQuip got started in Santa Fe, New Mexico, by Co-Founder Kerri Couillard. (Kerri left the company in late 2017 but is still a great fan!) Santa Fe is Fran’s hometown.
BabyQuip opens new markets weekly. Most markets have more than 1 Quality Provider.
Strategic partners include HomeAway, Destination Hotels, Kid & Coe, and UrbanSitter.
Typical orders include a full-size wooden crib, car seat, stroller and a large toy and book package.
BabyQuip has closed $2.5 million seed as of mid 2019. Participating investors include Startup Capital Ventures, Quake Capital, Rostrum Capital, and Stanford-StartX Fund.
