Things to Consider When Renting Bathtubs
Space Limitations - Keep in mind how much space you have for the baby bathtub you want to rent. Will you be staying in a small hotel room, renting a house through Airbnb or HomeAway, or overnighting at a friend’s house? Quality Providers typically offer a few different bathing options to suit every family’s needs.
Love or Hate - Does your little one like to fill the bath to the brim with fun sudsy bubbles, make bubble beards and play until their fingers look like wrinkled prunes? If so, rent a set of bath toys for an extra delightful bath time experience away from home. A stepstool couldn’t hurt either to help them get in and out of the bath safely! If your baby hates bath time but needs to be squeaky clean for the upcoming family reunion, stick with the basics and just get the tub.
Age Range - For infants you will need a portable bathtub and a small bath toy for entertainment. For older babies and small children we recommend keeping them entertained with larger bath toy packages.
Clean, Safe & Insured Baby Equipment:
Quality Providers are required to complete extensive training on equipment safety before they begin renting baby gear. They are taught how to properly clean items to ensure every family is able to experience safe and spotless items. Unlike most baby gear rental companies, BabyQuip carries insurance covering your entire rental experience making us the safest choice for you and your little one.

Bathtubs: Frequently Asked Questions
Are bathtubs cleaned before and after they are rented?
Yes! We require that all QPs meticulously clean all of their baby equipment, including bathtubs. Babies' immune systems are still developing and we understand that you as parents or grandparents rightfully expect clean, sanitized products. All bathtubs are inspected and cleaned after every pickup and then inspected and lightly cleaned again before the next delivery. We recommend that QPs use organic or non-toxic cleaners. Inquire with your QP for specific products used.
When is baby ready for a standard bathtub?
Baby can transition from an infant tub to a standard tub when they are able to fully sit on their own. Be sure to follow all safety rules all the time!
If I don’t have a thermometer, how can I tell if the water temperature is right?
The water should feel warm, but not hot. The easiest way to test the temperature is to dip your wrist or elbow into the water. If it doesn’t feel too hot on you, it should be right for your baby.
When is the best time to give baby a bath?
This is personal preference as there is not best time to give a bath. Sometimes it’s best to give baths when baby is more alert so the activity isn’t startling. Sometimes it’s best in the evenings to signal night time and relaxation. Either way, make sure baby isn’t hungry or upset!
