Taking a trip to Epcot with toddlers is fun as this Walt Disney World Park has plenty of toddler-friendly things to do and see. Previously known as Future World, Epcot now consists of four “World” neighborhoods that feature Disney-themed rides (like a Finding Nemo ride), diverse foods and cultures, and all things world-related.

Families can travel ‘around the world’ in this wonderful and toddler-friendly Disney park. Here are a few things to consider when planning your next trip to Epcot with toddlers.

Getting Inside

Epcot Center

Unlike the other Disney World Theme Parks with just one entrance, Epcot has two entrances: the main entrance to World Celebration and the side entrance to International Gateway. The main entrance is ideal for most visitors unless you’re coming from Hollywood Studios, an Epcot resort, or the Disney Skyliner.

Layout of the Park

Epcot Center Map

Epcot is almost laid out in a circle, making it easy to walk through. It is broken up into 4 areas: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase. World Showcase is the largest section since it includes attractions from various parts of the world. There are 11 international pavilions in total!

Renting a Stroller or Bringing Your Own

Renting A Stroller At Epcot

Single strollers and double strollers can be rented at either entrance of the park for $15 per day (or $13 per day for a multi-day visit). If you’re planning on bringing your own stroller, make sure to check out Disney’s stroller requirements

We highly encourage renting a stroller or bringing your own. Epcot is quite a large park, and you will appreciate having a stroller with you when your little one’s legs start to tire.

Where to Stay

Staying At Epcot

There are many places to stay within Epcot’s resort area. The Beach Club is a family-friendly resort with a New England beachside theme and is only a 10-minute walk from Epcot. Boardwalk Inn is also a great place to stay that is a 10-minute walk from Epcot.

Unlike the Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn is also open to the public. These two locations are perfect for families who plan to spend a lot of time at Epcot. Otherwise, a resort closer to other parks may be more convenient.

What to Ride

Visiting Epcot

Epcot offers plenty of kid-friendly attractions and rides (including boat rides). Some popular attractions when visiting Epcot with toddlers include Frozen Ever After, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Turtle Talk with Crush.

These rides are all deemed slow rides and okay for all ages. Chances are your toddler isn’t tall enough yet to ride Mission: SPACE, but they can enjoy the ride Spaceship Earth, which doesn’t have a height requirement.

More Toddler-Friendly Attractions

Things To Do At Epcot

In addition to rides, there are even more places to check out when you are at Epcot with toddlers. These non-ride attractions include the Beauty and Beast Sing-Along, Bruce’s Shark World, and SeaBase, where families can see various sea life like sharks, rays, sea turtles, and coral reefs.

Within Epcot, toddlers can meet Alice, Anna & Elsa, Donald Duck, Joy, Mulan, Princess Jasmine, Snow White, and/or Vanellope. Each character can be found in its own international pavilion. It may not feel like a true Walt Disney World visit if the end of the day doesn’t include fireworks! It’s not just The Magic Kingdom that has a great fireworks show. Ending your day at Epcot with toddlers can also involve a breathtaking show. Epcot’s firework show is called Harmonius and is a 20-minute display of lights and lasers choreographed to a medley of diverse Disney music.

Eating at Epcot with toddlers is a lot of fun! Kids can dine with Chip ‘n’ Dale at the Garden Grill while taking in views from Living with the Land. For a Princess Storybook Dining experience, head over to the Akershus Banquet Hall. This restaurant is in a medieval castle and serves up Norwegian dishes while Disney Princesses visit guests throughout the day.

Downloading the free My Disney Experience App before traveling to Epcot will be super helpful in navigating around. You can do a lot through this app, like get into Epcot with your virtual park ticket, track wait times for rides, and check in to restaurants, among other things. You can even order food and drinks from your app!

Another perk of the My Disney Experience App is securing FastPass+ selections if you want to bypass lines for some rides.

There’s even a kitchen area where you can prepare food or warm up bottles. This is a great place to take a breather and cool off when at Epcot with toddlers.

Kidcot Fun Stops

Older toddlers may love making stops at Epcot’s Kidcot Fun Stops that are found at each international pavilion; there are 11 stops total. Toddlers can collect an activity card at each Kidcot Fun Stop throughout World Showcase.

Our number one piece of advice is to rent a stroller or bring your own. Even the most energetic toddlers will tire after walking ‘around the world.’ Enjoy your trip!
