Let’s be honest—Target has become the best place for millennial moms to go for practically any reason. Need essentials? Target. Want a coffee? Target. Bored? Target. Moms even make plans to hang out with other moms at Target. If you totally know what I’m talking about and have yet to dub yourself a Target mom, it’s time to accept your reality. For everyone else, below are 10 reasons why moms are obsessed with Target.

1. Target’s Bullseye Playground

The very first thing a mom sees when she walks into Target is the wonderful low-priced Bullseye Playground, aka ‘The Dollar Section’. Not only are products in this section priced as low as $1 but they make Target moms say, “Oh, that’s cute.” Moms can shop for trendy home decor and household essentials like holiday-themed hand towels and more. In addition, there’s always a good amount of toys, educational products, and other kid-friendly items to peruse. Finally, products in Target’s Bullseye Playground change often and with the seasons which keeps moms returning again and again.

2. Target’s Circle Rewards Program

Most moms love any opportunity to use coupons and save money when shopping and that’s no secret to Target. With Target Circle, Target’s rewards program, moms can earn 1% cash back on each purchase to use at Target on a future purchase. Target moms can also clip coupons, support the community, and more. It’s your birthday? Great! Target will give you 5% off a single purchase. Yay rewards!

3. Target’s REDcard

Target’s REDcard offers even more ways to save money, an opportunity any real Target mom cannot pass up. Here are just some of the REDcard benefits:

  • Can return items purchased with the REDcard even if you don’t have a receipt
  • Get 5% off in-store and online purchases (this includes Clearance and Starbucks!)
  • Free shipping on most Target.com products

If you think this is a credit card scheme, it’s not! While Target moms can certainly apply for a credit REDcard, there is also the choice to apply for a debit REDcard. That means purchases will still come out of a personal bank account and not a credit line. All while saving money!

4. Designer collaborations

Target loves to collaborate with a variety of designers and Target moms LOVE that. From Disney to Magnolia to Ulta, Target products stay trendy and modern with rotating and long-term designer collaborations. Target moms feel like they’re not only shopping “Target products” but products from other businesses as well. It’s exciting for moms to stumble across a new collab with a brand that they love.

5. In-store Starbucks

If there’s one thing we know about moms—they love coffee and especially Starbucks coffee. Most if not all Target stores have a Starbucks right inside the front doors of the store, easily luring moms in for a grab-and-go brew before their shopping trip begins. Target even offers an extra hand by providing drink holders that attach to the carts.

Tip: Don’t forget to check the Target Circle app because there may be a Starbucks coupon or deal running!

6. The Cat & Jack clothing line

Any Target mom with a little one knows that the Cat & Jack clothing line is one of the best children’s sections in the store. Clothing items are cute, stylish, and high-quality, remaining in good condition for years. In addition, Target sells the Cat & Jack clothing line at very reasonable prices (like $4 for a shirt!) so it’s no surprise that this children’s clothing line draws Target moms in from all over.

7. Target’s Baby Registry

If moms-to-be aren’t already in love with Target, they will be after signing up for Target’s baby registry. When Target moms sign up for the baby registry, they get some of these awesome perks:

  • A FREE gift ($100 worth of coupons and trial samples)
  • A coupon for 15% off the remaining items on your registry (or 20% off if you use your REDcard)
  • One year of exclusive deals

This baby registry is convenient and the “easiest-to-use baby registry” according to What To Expect. It’s even convenient for registry buyers as they can order through the registry and pickup in-store.

8. Affordable & quality store brand products

Target has more than 45 private labels in its stores. These “store brands” offer quality and cute products without an unreasonable price tag. Some of the most popular brands that moms love include:

  • Women’s clothing: A New Day, All in Motion, Auden, AVA & VIV, Stars Above, Knox Rose
  • Men’s clothing: Goodfellow & Co.
  • Children’s clothing: Cat & Jack, Original Use, Wild Fable
  • Pets: Boots & Barkley
  • Home: Opalhouse, Pillowfort, Project 62, Room Essentials, Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, Threshold
  • Grocery: Market Pantry, Everspring, Good & Gather, up & up
  • Seasonal: Wondershop, Sun Squad

Target even sells 9 of its own wine & spirit brands including California Roots, Photograph, SunPop, and more.

9. Target-exclusive products

Have you ever found a toy at Target that you can’t find anywhere else? That’s because Target has a large line of Target Exclusive toys. You will know that certain toys are exclusive when you see an “Only at (Target logo)” label under the product when online shopping. Toys are typically favorite characters from tv shows and movies (e.g. Spiderman, Disney princesses, etc.), and Target moms love to snag them up for the holidays while they can!

10. It’s the perfect hangout spot!

Target has created a perfect world for moms and their besties to hang out and shop. There’s coffee, there are cute things to awe over, trendy clothing to try on, and there are great deals. The carts are smooth and large enough for all the things without being too bulky. Seasonal departments bring excitement and curiosity. We’re not sure how they do it, but Target makes it fun to walk down every aisle with your Target mom friends.

Clearly, Target is a haven for moms for a plethora of reasons. They sell super cute household essentials at reasonable prices plus… Starbucks coffee! Some Target locations even contain a pharmacy, clinic, and optical department. So basically Target moms have a 1-stop shop that is convenient and fun!
