Disney’s Aulani Resort in Oahu, Hawaii.
How can you go wrong with Disney plus Hawaii? Disney’s Aulani Resort is a paradise for the entire family! You’ll spend time soaking up some sun and relaxing at a resort while waving casually to Mickey or Minnie, but you can also adventure throughout Oahu and take advantage of what Oahu has to offer. There are plenty of activities to keep your kiddos busy; you’ll want to book a spa appointment for yourself too!
Sun Valley Resort in Utah
If you’re craving a cold-weather destination for your family Spring Break vacation, then definitely plan to go to Sun Valley Ski Resort. Palm Springs, CA: Old Hollywood’s Vacation Destination
If you haven’t done the Palm Springs thing, do it. It’s a perfect desert oasis. We give you permission to rent a house and log many hours of lounge time while your kids play in the pool for hours. Maybe book Walt Disney’s Palm Springs getaway house? Or a mansion built for Kirk Douglas? Or even Sinatra’s estate or Elizabeth Taylor’s vacation home? Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC
DC is a must-see for travelers of all ages. If you’re unsure of what season to visit our nation’s capital, we highly recommend Spring. Because…..cherry blossoms. The National Cherry Blossom Festival is world renowned because it is absolutely amazing. This festival runs from approximately March 20th through April 14th and offers over 50 events to experience. It’s perfect for all ages; the festival is definitely a bucket list item for many. We highly recommend the Omni hotel—super kid and adult-friendly. Plus, check out all of these fun and free things to do!
Puerto Rico
PR is a US territory so you aren’t technically traveling abroad, but in some ways, you’ll definitely get that international experience for a family spring break vacation. It’s a totally unique Caribbean island where you’re bound to experience some Instagram photo-worthy tropical moments.
The island has a little bit of everything: from national forests and beaches to ancient ruins and metro San Juan. Beaches are filled with fine, warm sand and surrounded by clear blue water, just like you see in photos. Some perks include easy flight schedules from most of the US and no international cell phone plans since it’s a US territory!
Toronto in Ontario, Canada
Toronto is Canada’s largest metropolitan city, so if you are truly seeking a city-like adventure, Toronto should be in the running! Toronto is full of museums, parks, indoor or outdoor activities, and history! We definitely recommend Centre Island, it’s like an old-timey amusement park or carnival. Perfect for kids 12 and under. For your older kiddos or sports fans, go explore the Hockey Hall of Fame; Canada is the Hockey capital of the world, after all! Last but not least, explore Toronto Zoo. You’ll fall in love with Penelope, a Pygmy Hippo calf. She’s adorable.
The Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells
If you’re looking for something that’s somewhat all-inclusive and doesn’t require a lot of moving around to different places (a “one-stop shop” kind of vacation experience), then we highly recommend a family spring break at The Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells.
The Wilderness boasts the largest indoor waterpark in the US so there will be no shortage of wet ‘n wild excitement! If you’re traveling to the Dells during spring break it’s definitely going to be chilly, but don’t let that discourage you from planning this as a family spring break vacation.
You’ll be able to take advantage of 4 enormous indoor water parks located throughout the resort so you’re guaranteed a load of fun! There is an indoor wave pool (the largest in the US!), lazy rivers, splash pads, sports pools, hot spas, and waterslides galore. Estes Park, Colorado is at the base of the Rocky Mountains, so outdoor adventures are plentiful. You and your kids can go horseback riding, fishing, hiking, or take a stroll downtown.
In terms of lodging, you have a variety to choose from: We like the cozy Estes Mountain Lodge, the full-service resort The Estes Park Resort, or camping at a local Estes KOA! Rocky Mountain National Park is unforgettable and definitely worthy of a family Spring Break vacation. Make sure to check when the park opens and for any closures—planning ahead is key!
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
If you are traveling with golfers, you’ll definitely want to consider Hilton Head Island as a potential destination for your family’s Spring Break trip. Hilton Head has been voted #10 on the list of Best Golf Resorts in the World by Golf Digest. There are tons of golf resorts to choose from. Hilton Head is totally baby (kid, toddler) friendly too. There are bunches of beaches to choose from, museums to explore, and even a national wildlife refuge!
Cooperstown, New York
Cooperstown, New York is small-town nostalgia. You’ll visit the baseball hall of fame museum and soak up the history of America’s favorite pastime sport. You’ll grab breakfast at the SMALLEST (and most delicious) diner we’ve ever seen, aptly named, The Cooperstown Diner. And if your spring break trip is in April, you’ll definitely want to rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard to explore Goodyear Lake or Susquehanna River.

I took my six-month-old to Estes Park and loved that there were so many scenic drives since I didn’t have all the baby equipment for trails.
All of these destinations lols so fun but I want to go somewhere warm for spring break so I would head to Florida!

We do San Diego in the summer when it is a little warmer. Palm Springs is perfect during the spring. Not too hot.
