The Brinkmans relocated to the Smoky Mountains to be closer to family. Shari, a retired flight attendant, noticed the challenges passengers faced while traveling with baby gear. This inspired her to find solutions for families with young children, leveraging her expertise in customer service. Familiar with the Smoky Mountains, she knows the area well, from Pigeon Forge to Knoxville, TN. Shari and her husband Rich, a retired veteran, commercial airline pilot, and flight instructor, share a love for adventure. They're full time grandparents to a 2-year-old and enjoy traveling, sightseeing, dining out, riding their Harley, and flying. Not an ideal situation
“I’ll start by saying that I think our experience was a fluke. Based on the amazing reviews, I think this just happened to be an “off” rental. Shari is very kind. She was thoughtful to give a fun bag to my kids for the drive. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. Shari did not message me to confirm she actually saw my order. I texted her two days before to verify, and at that point she was having a personal issue and was unsure if she’d be able to fill the order or if she’d transfer it (which is why I think this may have been a fluke; just bad timing). She said she’d message me the night before the rental and she did not. She did message the day-of and she did show up with the order on time. We rented two rear facing car seats and one high back harness booster seat. Two of them had light staining. One rear facing car seat only had one cupholder (which I’m pretty sure affects the safety). She thinks I lost it, and maybe it fell off on the way to my car, but the other cup holder continually fell out the whole trip to the point we just held it in the front and handed it back to her at the end, so clearly the cupholders were not securely installed. The other rear facing car seat had elastic cup holders, one of which was broken as well. We manually put it back over and over. It looked like it had hot glue, so perhaps this was a known issue. The harness booster fabric cover wasn’t attached on the right side. We were not given any manuals (physical or emailed PDFs), and I didn’t know how to work one of the car seats so I had to Google search installation in the parking garage. At one point I checked the expiration dates of the car seats because we had so many issues I thought they may have been old. This was a $250+ order, and it could have gone so much better. We love BabyQuip and use them for every vacation. We’ve always have had items and car seats be exceptionally clean and in excellent condition. We’ll use BabyQuip again and trust this was a one-off. ”
