This rental includes the Cosco Play Yard Rocking Play Yard and Bassinet Insert. It comes with two sets of linens - waterproof mattress pads and fitted sheet - to add some comfort for your little one.
From the Manufacturer: With the Cosco Kids™ Rocking Bassinet with Play Yard, your little one will rest easy at home or on the go. The cozy bassinet has two modes: rocking and stationary. Gently lull your baby to sleep in rocking mode. Or choose to secure in place for stationary mode before laying baby down. When rest time is over, easily converts from bassinet to play yard, so baby can explore in a safe space. The breathable, see-through mesh sides offer increased air flow, and let you easily check in on your little one. Designed with fabrics made using recycled materials. And when you’re headed out for the weekend, the bassinet and play yard folds compactly and stores in the included travel bag.
Why I like it: I enjoy the versatility - that it can be a bassinet but then during the day, it can be used as a safe play yard for the little one. Or, without the bassinet, it is a great sleep and play space for the older babes. While the mattress is sturdy, it is the hardest of the mattresses in the three pack and plays that I have (BabyBjorn Travel Crib and Newton Travel Crib and Play Yard).
I like the bassinet function because when my baby was smaller, I hated putting her all the way down on the floor of the pack n' play while traveling because she always startled awake. If you're baby is still small enough (always follow manufacturers guidelines), then the bassinet insert lessens the drop from your arms to the sleep surface. This does not have to be included - so if you're little one is too old for the bassinet insert, I can keep that at home.
The rocking aspect of this pack and play is also unique to my other offerings, though it did kind of make me laugh. You add two bars to the bottom of it to basically make the pack n' play off balance. So yes, it does rock side to side, but not a fully smooth rocking bassinet as the name implies. It'll get the job done to kind of "hush" your babe to sleep. It is a nice addition, but can be ignored if you'd like, too.
While compact, which is great for putting in the car, it is by far the heaviest pack and play I offer. But, if you're just putting it up once and taking it down when you're done, this is not an issue at all.
Overall, this is a great, functional pack n' play that I would gladly use with my own daughter, and is the only pack and play I offer that has that bassinet insert available.
